An embassy is a body of people representing one country in a foreign country. The head of the embassy is the ambassador while the building itself is called the chancery. The main role of an embassy is to make sure that the rights of a specific citizen of a specific country are respected and to aid in travelling purposes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mauritius is the responsible body for assuring that the rights of Mauritians are respected internationally and also the platform for international integration and co operation. Mauritius, being a common tourist destination, has a number of embassies throughout the world to aid in movement purposes.
