The paradise island of Mauritius is a suitable holiday destination for people of all ages, whether you have small children or you are a young traveller. When people think of nightlife they think of clubs but that’s not all Mauritius has to offer when dusk comes. Obviously there are many nightclubs in Mauritius some more famous than others, the North has the best clubs due to the fact that the beaches are nicer than the south. Grand Bay is a favourite with many tourists and clubs are plentiful, you will definitely find one that suits your taste in music. Flic en Flac is also another part of Mauritius that thrives on nightlife as it is another popular destination for tourists who visit Mauritius. Clubs are open most days with Friday and Saturday being the most popular days. Some of the most popular clubs in Mauritius: Stardance – Grand Bay Le Bamboo nightclub – Grand Bay The Buddha Club – Grand Bay Arena Nightclub – Flic en Flac There are many restaurants also that have entertainment in the evenings, most of the best ones again are in the north such as Grand Bay but to be honest the hotels have the best food and entertainment. Most hotels also have themed nights most evenings with the most popular being Sega night usually on a Friday evening. Some hotels also have Sega on the beach, now that is a sight not to be missed, open fire, fine white sand and Sega music. Other places of interest in the evening are the casinos that we have on the island; there are a few with the most common ones being in Port Louis (Caudan), Flic en Flac. Belle Mare, Le Morne, Trou aux Biches and Curepipe. There are many hotels around the island that have their own Casino that welcome everyone to come and play. During the peak season there are many beach parties too, some starting in the late afternoon right through till the early hours of the morning. Barbeques are also quite common in Mauritius especially on the beach; you may find that invitations are common in the tourist areas of Mauritius. Bars are very common too with a large variety spread all over, prices are reasonable too. The only places where you will find alcohol expensive are the hotels, always avoid if you can but then again you do get provided with free entertainment on most evenings.
